The Club currently has a VIP Room which can cater for our corporate members.
Executive waiting on staff work in the VIP hospitality suite within the stadium to serve VIP guests that are attending a match day or event. You will be working as part of team that is directed by the Room Manager or Supervisor, aiming to go above and beyond customer expectations to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience at Pascoe Vale Soccer Club.
Working in the VIP area waiting on staff will be providing a first class service serving affluent clientele. The Ideal candidate for a VIP waiting on position will have a calm, composed and confident manner with a welcoming and cheery personality.
Successful candidates must be committed and have the capability of working on their own as well as part of a team. A strong command of spoken and written English is essential to be able to communicate and interact effectively. You must have excellent organisation skills, social perceptiveness and good co ordination. We require candidates who have an extensive food and beverage knowledge and a friendly nature. You must be comfortable working under pressure and come out smiling at the end of each day. Your passion about delivering exceptional customer service will ensure a high level of satisfaction is met with all of our executive guests. An overall high quality performance must be produced in a demanding environment.
Key responsibilities on a match day will include:
Set tables and ensure room is ready for the arrival of guests
Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all glass and crockery prior to service.
Ensure uniform, personal appearance and hygiene is kept to a high standard
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Anticipate and address guests' service needs
Taking food and drink orders, ensuring a prompt and accurate service
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests according to the hospitality package.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others to support the team in reaching common goals
Clean and maintain cleanliness of tables/guest areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to designated areas outlined by room managers or supervisors
Complete closing duties, including restocking items and occasionally turning rooms around for upcoming events
The ideal candidate will be hands-on with a true passion for people and customer service; willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction, along with a positive and pleasant attitude. You will be a quick learner with the ability to adapt to the different levels of service throughout a match day, showing strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Complete additional duties and take direction from a Manager or Supervisor
Attend mandatory and other training as required
Comply with all company policies and procedures
Experience of working in a restaurant or a conference and banqueting environment or experience working with VIP clientele is preferred.
Identify and meet the needs of colleagues and our customers, focusing on initiating and welcoming contact and communication whilst striving to deliver first class customer service.
Recognise potential complaint situations and make effective steps to avoid and / or resolve these situations.
To undertake any necessary internal training sessions in accordance with the Company’s Performance and Development Process and to take personal responsibility to seek opportunities to develop yourself and to realise your own potential.
To assist with the provision of the training and development of colleagues as required.
Ensure effective communication within your work team and actively offer support and guidance as necessary.
Ensure compliance with all of the Company’s security, stock control, loss prevention and key holder procedures.
