Pascoe Vale Signs Gonzalo Abascal, Turhan Sumbul and Moustapha Quaynor
Pascoe Vale is delighted to announce that it has added Gonzalo Abascal, Turhan Sumbul and Quaynor Mustapha to its squad for the second half of the Victorian National Premier League season.
The trio join Marino Gasparis as Vitale Ferrante’s most recent additions to the squad.
Abascal, 25, comes to Pascoe Vale with a wealth of experience garnered in Chile, having played in the Chilean first division with Rangers and the second tier with Magallanes.
A natural right-back, the Melbourne born defender is reknowned for his tough defending and attacking nature.
Sumbul returns to Victoria’s top flight after having spent time with Brunswick City and Hume United after departing Hume City in 2013.
The 27-year-old will look to utilise his strength and prowess in the air to add to Paco’s front third.
Quaynor, 20, joins Pascoe Vale from St Albans after arriving in Australia earlier in 2016.
The Ghanaian-born midfielder previously spent time with Cyprus’ AEL Limassol, in between loan periods with fellow Cypriot sides Alki Larnaca and Ermis Aradippou.
Pascoe Vale assistant coach Daniel Tribuzio expressed his satisfaction with Paco’s latest acquisitions.
“Gonzalo is a skilful, hard nosed defender, who will add plenty of steel and experience where we need it,” he told www.pvfc.com.au.
“Moustapha will be able to add options in midfield, giving us a player that is able to control the tempo and dictate the play.
“Turhan is a strong, bustling striker, who will provide a presence and use his work ethic to our advantage.”
